Repetitive Stress Injuries
Continued repetitive activities can result in swelling, pain, decreased to a total loss of function. The use of ice, anti-inflammatories, coupled with our bodies own compensations allow us to continue. However, over time, these adaptations will evolve into their own overuse symptoms and will render us incapacitated. Return to normal function involves undoing the fascial compensations, dealing with the original injury then correcting the activity that triggered it. Rolfing addresses the former allowing the latter to occur. Movement and ergonomic awareness also aid in resolution.
Athletic Performance:
- Athletic Performance
- Increased endurance
- Agility
- Grace
- Spatial awareness
- Strength
- Speed
These qualities can be enhanced through rolfing. Resolving less than efficient patterns brought on by injury or overuse through manipulation of the fascia brings the body into a more advantageous biomechanical neutral. Rolfing has been utilized by athletes both professional and amateur world wide.
